The Fresh Meat side of the business prepares cuts using our own organic beef, lamb and pork from our farm here in Orkney, to sell in our own shop and by mail order.

We are passionate about our way of organic farming. Strict organic standards govern every aspect of our farming. Our animals are allowed to grow at their own pace and are not force fed to achieve quick sales. Animal welfare is a top priority. Artificial fertilisers and chemical sprays are not used on our farm at all.

Unlike many conventional  farms our beef and lamb is predominantly grass-fed. In the summer months they graze our organic pastures and during the winter they eat home grown organic grass silage.Even our pigs have their daily helping of "greens".We have learned by research and personal experience that the soil affects the quality of the food produced on it which in turn influences  our own health.
